Community Center. She is also a recipient of many honors and awards that include
recognition from the House of Representatives, California Legislature/Assembly, County of Los Angeles’ Board of Supervisors,
Mayor of the City of Los Angeles; City of Los Angeles’ “Employee of the Year”. Los Angeles Sentinel’s
Women of the year, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc.’s “Black Women Achievement Award”,
The Los Angeles Association of Black Personnel’s Career Award “The Wanda” named in her honor, BISA’s
Distinguished Black Women Award, Los Angeles Black Media’s and Second Baptist Church’s People’s Champ Award.
